Fresh off its victory in Gowanus, where it will construct its first store in the borough, Whole Foods has further plans for Brooklyn. The Post reports that the stalled shell at 242 Bedford Avenue, where a CVS and a Marshalls were rumored last year, will become Whole Foods' new home instead. The store is apparently going to have 9,000 square feet on the building's ground floor and another 30,000 square feet underground; New York Sports Club is apparently taking some of the first and second floors, too. The whole thing will be topped by luxury rentals. Whole Foods has been sniffing around Williamsburg for a while, so we knew it was only a matter of time.
