Last year, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz almost bought the triplex penthouse at 20 Greene Street, but for one reason or another the deal fell through. The unit was taken off the market and re-listed four times last year before being pulled from the market, yet again, in December. And now, for approximately the sixth time, the place is back on the market. The Real Deal spotted the $10 million listing, which is $2.25 million less than the first time it tried to sell way back in 2011. So who is the constantly-changing-his-mind seller? Daniel Houser, creator of the video game series Grand Theft Auto.
Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of Douglas Elliman have the listing, which describes the 7,000-square-foot, 3BR/3BA as such:
Glamour, drama, soaring ceilings, blinding light and glass are key works in this dramatic, Soho triplex penthouse with triple exposures. You enter into a livingroom the size of huge loft facing West and East - with massive wall space for an extensive art collection. The chef's kitchen is oversized with a large pantry. On the main floor there is also a media room with a wood burning fire place, a guest room with en suite bath and a office which also works as a bedroom. Upstairs on the second floor of this penthouse is the master suite with a private wrap around terrace and an enormous master bath with his/her sinks and soaking tub and large closets, another bedroom with en suite bathroom and private terrace, as well as a large laundry and storage room. Now you are starting to clear ALL other buildings and the views open up. Every bedroom has double sliding doors to the outside space plus closets that are ample and large.A note about the photos: some are from a previous listing of the unit, and it looks like there has been a touch of redecorating. For instance, the media room is now cream-colored and it used to be dark gray, but the space, for the most part, remains the same.· Grand Theft Auto Creator Lists Soho PH for $10M [TRD]
