Two years ago, penthouse D at 377 West 11th Street sold for $3.36 million, and after a much-needed overhaul (see the old, definitely-not-as-nice design here), the 3,000-square-foot duplex is back on the market for more than twice as much, $7.5 million. The renovator/seller is John Foley, the creator of the Peloton spinning bike, a "sexy at-home bike" that has "revolutionized" the trendy exercise by making a bike that Well and Good says "won't look out of place in your high-design living room." Although Foley clearly thinks it does because listing photos show his bike in the master bedroom.
The renovation reconfigured the floorplan, created a much more beautiful staircase, and upgraded all of the spaces with new finishes. There's a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, which has 22-foot ceilings, and the private rooftop terrace has been revamped from a drab nothing-special space to a Brazilian ipe wood-covered deck with an outdoor bar and built-in seating.
