The Chuck Close-hated development at 363 Lafayette Street never came to fruition, but now Omlstead Properties is looking to sell the site, which stretches from Bond Street to Great Jones Street. Variances secured by Olmstead in 2007 have lapsed, but the site has 32,000 buildable square feet and a new building could be up to eight stories tall. Given the neighbors, we're betting this will become condos, and very pricey ones at that. The site currently holds a billboard, and could sell for $35 million. [TRD; previously]
