Beautiful Brooklyn Heights townhouses are a dime a dozen, but beautiful Brooklyn Heights townhouses asking $50,000/month are a tad bit rarer. That’s why we’re looking at this home on Remsen Street, which is indeed asking $50,000 per month. (“You'll feel like you've rented two entire floors at a 5 star hotel in France except you won't get the 5 star bill,” says the brokerbabble—we’re not sure how much they think a 5-star hotel costs these days.)
So what does that outlandish price get you? Well: 6,192 square feet spread out over six floors (though seemingly, no elevator); four bedrooms; five bathrooms; four fireplaces; hand-painted Zuber wallpaper; a Juliet balcony off the master bathroom; original crown molding; a revamped chef’s kitchen; and, unsurprisingly, a lot more. The most ridiculous amenity is perhaps the “incredible Tuscan style wine cellar with room for more than 2,000 bottles,” but really, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It’s also a short walk to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The other reason the place is so expensive? It comes fully furnished, meaning all you have to bring is your suitcase. (Well, that, and the $50,000 per month.)
