To celebrate the sale of more than half of the apartments at 21 West 20th Street, Gale International has released new photos of one of the building's four penthouses.
The 4,663-square-foot Penthouse 2 is asking $13.965 million and comes with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a 75-foot terrace. It also has interior touches specified by David Mann of MR Architecture + Décor, like a bio-fuel fireplace (sounds fancy) with a with blackened steel and marble surround.
The slender Flatiron building between Fifth and Sixth avenues was poised to be topped by a $35 million penthouse when word of the development first spread in 2013, but the market has changed. Gale's wisely divided that triplex into penthouses 1 and 2. Penthouses 3 and 4 have already entered contract at $17 million and $10 million, respectively, with Penthouse 1 due to hit the market later in the summer with an ask similar to Penthouse 2's.
Nine of the Beyer Blinder Belle-design building's 13 apartments, including the two penthouses, are either in contract or have already closed.
