Move over, Citylights, there's a new high-rise sheriff in Queens. Five months before its scheduled opening, the Windsor, the much-heralded 21-story condo in Forest Hills, is 70% full, according to its sales agent. That's significant, insofar as the prices at the Windsor, which range from $510K to $1.5MM, outstrip prices in the neighborhood by a factor of approximately three. The building, which was developed by Cord Meyer and designed by Ismael Leyva, the architect behind the condos at Time Warner Center, has managed to win over its once-reticent neighbors, who are looking forward to a little "Upper East Side living on Queens Boulevard." God help them.
