News that today is closing day for the Henry St. D'Agostino is inspiring Chowhound laments from Brooklyn Heightsers about the sad state of their grocery affairs. It's not that the cute little D'Ag was so great ("the prices are high enough to float an economic battleship"), but the locals are wondering why they've got to resort to Key Food while every other nabe in the boro is gearing up for a new Whole Foods/Fairway/Trader Joe's. It prob doesn't help that the neighbors from a nearby grocery-blessed 'hood are rubbing jalapeño-lime marinade in their wounds (see "park slope rules...brooklyn heights drools").
