15CPW Penthouse Sale Sets New Manhattan Record

A Curbed reader stationed high in the sky above Central Park West sends along an aerial construction view of construction progress on Robert A.M. Stern's 15 Central Park West. Forget those rumors of big boys backing off the big penthouses, by the way: hedge fund manager Daniel Loeb has agreed to spend $45 million for the premier 10,000-square-foot 15CPW penthouse, reports Braden Keil. The price sets a new Manhattan real estate record, exceeding the $44 million Rupert Murdoch spent for Laurance Rockefeller's triplex penthouse at 834 Fifth Ave.
