There's a saturation of hip hot dog shops on the Lower East Side (OK, two that we can think of), and the neighborhood may be responding with a little brushback. A Curbed reader files this eyewitness report from 250 Broome Street:
No more Broome Doggs. Went there today and found the place closed. Is this old news? Am I out to lunch? Does anyone care?Silly reader, of course we care! But given the size of the shop, who knows? Either Dash Dogs has won the battle for wiener supremacy, or the dude working the counter stepped out for five minutes to pick up the new Prince album.
