We've received a few excited emails about the movement over on the Milstein Mystery Lot, which this week got its very own wall thingy. As you all know, an eight-story residential building for the Upper East Village site was announced a couple of weeks ago, and the fact that something has sprung up so soon, after so many years of the Milsteins simply sitting on the land, is a surprise in itself. And the project managers seem to understand what this brick-strewn lot means to the folks who have lived in the nabe for years, because they've cut out some holes so curious onlookers can monitor the progress. Seeing as how this is a long-running obsession, anyone who passes along architect info or?dare we say?a rendering, will most likely get high-fived to death by a pack of Curbed editors.
