LOWER EAST SIDE—The tipster who snapped this pic from the heart of Hell Square (Ludlow between Houston and Stanton) calls it "Lower East Side Pit of Despair!" [CurbedWire Inbox]
WILLIAMSBURG—The Williamsburg waterfront isn't the only new greenery in Billyburg. Another photo tipster spotted some new shrubbery on Kent Avenue near 14th Street. He labels his art "Williamsburg Landscape Transition -- New street trees and paving but weeds and garbage remain."[CurbedWire Inbox]
MEATPACKING DISTRICT—A Curbed reader files this development report, "A building on West St. between W 12th and Bethune has been demolished over the last few months. They have banners up on the sidewalk shed advertising the website: SomethingSuperior. Just a teaser so far. They are currently load testing piles at the site, so construction may be imminent. Also the former Diane Von Furstenberg store across the W 12th street is almost done being demolished and presumably with have something new built there as well." [CurbedWire Inbox]
