1) Hell's Kitchen: We already checked the holy Real Deal development map (right) for this block and turned up nothing but an office building sale at #29, so here's the question: "Can someone please tell me what is going on with the construction eyesore on the south side of 38th St. between 8th and 9th Avenues. For so long it’s been an empty pit of rubble. Now there’s a huge crane just sitting there." We would've said McSam, but it looks like that's not the case.
2) Upper East Side: Some action in Second Ave. subway land. A reader writes: "It looks like they have started to dismantle and bring down a few of the adjoining bulidings on the north/east corner. What are they building?" This might be the site that Alchemy Properties closed on in May.
3) Upper West Side: Bi-coastal Broadway action? "On both sides of the street at Broadway and 87th st (NE and NW corners) a number of stores have been emptied and work is being done on whatever is coming in. Does anyone know what will be there? On the west side it's half the block; on the east side somewhat less."
