Sorry for not getting this out yesterday, but a server meltdown had us moving in slow motion. Intel was a little scarce this week, too.
1) Hell's Kitchen: That "construction eyesore" on the the south side of 38th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues is a project of developer Glenwood, and will probably wind up as one of the company's rental towers. No renderings have been released yet, but a commenter/neighbor adds that the "luxury" building will be 24 floors. The picture is from the WiredNY thread on the topic.
2) Upper East Side: No takers on the supposed Alchemy Properties project at 77th Street and Second Avenue.
3) Upper West Side: Both sides of Broadway and 87th Street are getting some work done, but all that turned up was this, from a commenter: "I've heard rumors of a Walgreens on the NW corner of 87th & BW, but not much is happening. No idea what is happening across the street, but it's been gutted and it looks like they are getting ready to start construction."
