Details have been slow to trickle out regarding the new apartment building to be constructed on the southeast corner of 14th Street and Third Avenue?just across the street and over a bit from the Toll Brothers' One Ten 3rd. That's because, a tipster claims, final plans for 123 Third Avenue are still two weeks out from being submitted. And about the rumored 18 stories, the same tipster sets us straight and adds some details:
destruction of the current deli & buildings will begin in January 2008, and will take approx. 18 months to complete. 21 stories for the residential part, 23 stories total if you include the water tower & elevator shaft. 14th floor will have inset balconies for certain units. A commercial bank is looking into leasing the retail space at the bottom. That's the same height as One Ten 3rd, for all you fans out there. And check it out, the listing for the retail space has popped up on Winick Properties' website, and no doubt about it (see above), it looks like mo' banks for the Upper East Village. Joy. But hey, wouldn't you like to see the proposed site plan?
