After 15 years, architect Steven Holl's 10 pivoting concrete panels that mark the façade of the Storefront for Art and Architecture are cracked and rusted and in generally bad shape. The nonprofit gallery on Kenmare Street has commissioned a restoration, which will begin in August and take a month. The remake will be as faithful to the original as possible, according to the contractor. [NYT]
