The formerly mysterious L Haus in Long Island City, which sits at the foot of the Pulaski Bridge connecting Greenpoint and LIC, has drawn the attention of many photographers because it's had a bright green facade for months. Well, a preliminary website for the development has gone up and it has a few renderings of the building (which make it look like peaceful and verdant rather than presiding over a traffic frenzy) and basic price info. (Condo will be going from $450,000 to $1M+ and will come in 1BR, 2BR and 3BR flavors.) The website promises opening in Fall '08 and it looks like Prudential Douglas Elliman is handling sales. Per the promo copy, the "most distinguishing feature" of the building is "The Yard" which is "over 10,000 sf of landscaped green space...with a rolling lawn, water feature, lounges, tables and grills." Also, a club room, fitness room, media room and roof terrace with private cabanas that are certain to have utterly awesome views of Newtown Creek and the surreal sewage treatment plant beyond. Fresh Direct fridge in the lobby, natch. Oh, and the "L" in L Haus, according to the sign on the building, stands for "livable."
