Silverstein Properties and other officials with a stake in the redevelopment of the World Trade Center are currently holding a press conference to detail the new plans for the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. If you'll recall, architecture firm Snohetta's copier/fax/printer design headed back to the drawing board nearly three years ago, following the ousting of the International Freedom Museum as the building's future tenant. There are many renderings and details on the way, but the shock factor is how much the building has shrunk amid the countless delays and budgetary concerns that have stalled the WTC. According to our Curbed correspondent on the scene, the press release refers to the new building "relatively modest in size."
