The Real Deal reports that hotel developer Sam Chang is finally ready to wield his wrecking ball on the boarded-up buildings at 148-154 Delancey Street, a group of properties at the base of the Williamsburg Bridge his McSam Hotel Group bought over the summer. Chang was said to be planning a six-story hotel for the site, and he's brought along his buddy architect Gene Kaufman to design this Holiday Inn. We didn't turn up any renderings on Kaufman's website, but there are only so many Gene Kaufman hotel renderings one can look at before something bursts.
