EAST VILLAGE?Completing our look at new Upper East Village development (we'd link to recent Copper Building and Village Green coverage but, um, you may have noticed our server issues have temporarily wiped out the last month's worth of content), let's drop by 525 East 12th Street, a building with five floor-through condos that sat on the market via Corcoran with no movement for months. Over the weekend, a tipster happened by the block (between Avenues A & B) and noted the classy new banner hanging on the building. The building is now repped by Weichert Realtors, and according to StreetEasy, one unit recently sold and another is in contract. Hey, whatever works! [CurbedWire Inbox]
TURTLE BAY?A resident of Extell's newish luxury condo at 212 East 47th Street writes in to inform us of the building's laundry crisis: "Residents have been without clothes dryers since March 3. Word is that Extell did not install the gas lines in accordance with city safety codes, and inspectors shut them down immediately pending repairs. Management initially indicated they'd be out for 3 weeks, but it's been a month and counting. No break on cc's for this, either. It's great that Gary Barnett has time to dream up ways to save the economy .... I'd rather he concentrate on becoming a decent builder first." Oh snap, he went there! [CurbedWire Inbox]
