Yesterday the on-going saga over incapacitated financier Lionel Pincus, his Jordanian princess consort, his two sons and his $35M Pierre duplex (once asking $50M) added a new chapter, as Pincus' sons filed suit against Princess Firyal. If the 7,000-square-foot duplex?on the 30th and half the 31st floors of the classic hotel?sells before Pincus dies, the proceeds go to charity. If not, the apartment goes to the princess. The sons allege that the socialite has repeatedly blocked their efforts to sell the place. It's a dispute so bitter, so high-society that even the Times is on the beat. [NYO; NYT]
