Did you think that the Grand Street bike lane controversy would sneak its way into the mayoral campaign? Neither did we, but NY1 reports that while campaigning in Chinatown, Bill Thompson said he'd rip out the bike lane. He said, "I'm in favor of bike lanes but you can't put bike lanes in without speaking to the community," and if you don't think Streetsblog has a scathing response to Thompson's comments, well, then you just don't understand the war for the streets.
