Owner Bernie Henry, 92, doesn't remember exactly how much he paid for this Park Slope pinkstone at 233 Garfield Place in 1961, but it was probably under $50,000. The bright pink was an accident, he tells the Daily News, because he received the wrong paint (and the wrong furniture, too, we hope). The listing tells it straight: "It has exquisite detail and woodwork, but it could use some renovation, including new kitchens and baths." How much for this fixer-upper? The current ask is $2.3 million, and about 40 potential buyers have strolled through. Brownstoner is skeptical that the property can get this much. Commenters?
