Last week, when a tenant at a building owned by rent-stabilized tenant harassment master Vantage Properties told the property manager he wanted out of his lease, he was reminded that he would have to forfeit his security deposit and one month's rent. The tenant said nuh-uh and threatened to leave Vantage a little personal reminder of his unhappiness. And did he deliver! He traveled to Vantage's Long Island City office and dropped a bag of shit on the receptionist's desk. Overreaction? Perhaps the tenant was upset about something other than the lease break.
