UWS?Why do people pay the big bucks for apartments in 15 Central Park West? For fall foliage views like these. A tipster passes the above photos along from the 37th floor of the Tower building. Eat it, House residents! [CurbedWire Inbox]
FIDI?The Port Authority issued a new progress report on WTC construction today, announcing they've met 21 of 24 rebuilding milestones for the quarter. (Remarks a tipster, "Pesky Calatrava arches!") One of the missed milestones is the demolition of the Deutsche Bank Building, which the PA quickly points out is "under the purview of the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation and Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center." Check this craziness out: One milestone for Q1 2010 is Freedom Tower 1 World Trade Center construction up to the 20th floor! [Port Authority]
LES?Holy crap, a River Ridge sighting! The Curbed obsession of yore, known for practically being on top of the Williamsburg Bridge, got a visit from a tipster over the weekend: "To my surprise there was an OPEN HOUSE at the River Ridge Condos, 81 Ridge Street, this weekend. My big question to your readers would be why would I pay over $900k for a 700 sq ft two bedroom that is literally at even keel with traffic on the williamsburg bridge, not to mention subways. Building has no amenities other than a laundry room, although there is talk of them putting in a bike storage room. AWESOME!" Dunno, ask the five folks who closed, in, uh, 2008. [CurbedWire Inbox]
