The 11-acre park that will run through the city's massive planned Hunters Point South development in Long Island City won community board approval, but the artificial turf controversy rages on. Residents fear the turf will be hot and smelly, but the Parks Department's chief designer says the fake stuff is where it's at: "Think of me as the cheeky waiter who winks at you and says, 'Don't order the fish.'
