Rendering Refresh

Poolside With Battery Park City's Liberty Twins

[Renderings via EE&K Architects.]

Down in Battery Park City right behind the ball fields, the last empty patch of land zoned for residential use is being filled with a pair of buildings from Milstein Properties: Liberty Luxe (200 North End Avenue) and Liberty Green (300 North End Avenue). Construction is zipping right along after a long pause for some union busting, and The Real Deal reports that sales will kick off this spring in advance of an early 2011 completion. Can't contain your excitement? A teaser site has gone live with a sign-up for a "VIP list." How exclusive!

We've seen the condo complex modeled, but, oddly, never rendered. That is, until a tipster pointed us to the website of EE&K Architects, which features the images seen above. There's also all sorts of mindnumbing copy detailing the project's many eco-friendly features, like renewable energy, lighting strategies, ventilation, insula—whoa is that an outdoor pool up on that deck?! Mama Earth likey!
