A new residential building is coming to a plum Dumbo location at 9 Old Fulton Street, a little empty lot within a strip of historic rowhouses steps away from a main entrance (eventually) to Brooklyn Bridge Park. The five-story building had been bounced back by the Landmarks Preservation Commission, but the LPC finally approved the project this week now that it's convinced the facade is kosher and the penthouse level won't stick out too much. More approvals are needed before construction can begin. [YourNabe via Dumbo NYC]
