How many residential conversions of classic Art Deco skyscrapers can the Financial District possibly handle? How about two more? While architecture geeks and real estate brokers alike salivate over the impending condo-fication of 70 Pine Street, the Post's Steve Cuozzo reports that the landmarked 80-year-old 1 Wall Street tower at Broadway may soon be put on the market by the Bank of New York Mellon (which is considering a move to the Freedom Tower 1 World Trade Center). A residential conversion could be in the cards, and The Cuozz is already writing the marketing materials, calling the views spectacular and more open than those from 70 Pine. A preview of a high-profile real estate feud of the future?
