One sinking ship Leonardo DiCaprio successfully abandoned: Hudson Blue. Before he bought in Battery Park City's eco-obsessed Riverhouse, DiCaprio was supposed to move into the West Side Highway's 10-story Richard Meier copycat. But in a story more twisty than Inception, first Hudson Blue's units were reconfigured, then the developers tried marketing the building as a single-family townhouse for a family needing 11 bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Neither strategy found takers. Finally, two years ago, pre-foreclosure paperwork was sadly but perhaps inevitably filed. Yesterday, the building finally sold in a foreclosure auction, the Journal reports. The buyer was also the only bidder, the mortgage holder. The Journal couldn't get Leo on the phone, but we imagine he's especially pleased with life down at Teardrop Park today.
