For once, we're not going to disagree with the brokerbabble that proclaims this "quite possibly the most architecturally stunning renovation of a 25 foot wide Carriage House in Manhattan." If you like modern guts inside your old exteriors, which we know isn't a given in Carnegie Hill. The owners picked up 162 East 92nd Street for $6.3 million in 2007, when it was a three-family apartment building with a not-too-shabby rent roll. But the owners opted to spend two years renovating it into this David Howell-designed single-family home instead. We wouldn't be so eager to give this place up, but a sale for anything close to the tripled ask of $19 million will probably ease the pain a bit.
