At today's press conference unveiling the Barclays Center plaza design, developer Bruce Ratner didn't sound too eager to build 15 out of the 16 Atlantic Yards skyscrapers. Despite a printed promise to start construction on a new building every six to nine months after a 400-unit rental tower breaks ground next year, Ratner called the buildings "market dependent" and said the megaproject's signature office building, known as B1, could be many years off.
