Lawyers bringing foreclosure claims in New York will now be required to file an affirmation that they have taken reasonable steps to make sure the whole thing isn't just some B.S. pushed ahead by a bank robo-signer. So says the state's chief justice, and the new requirement goes into effect immediately. Not that it means much around these parts. [Metropolis]
