A fancy condo conversion has turned the Central Village's Devonshire House into the neighborhood's newest power building, attracting celebrity chefs, thoroughbred racers and of course, Ian Schrager's in-laws. But where are the boldface names? The stars of screen and stage? Here's one! Actress Amanda Seyfried paid just over $1.9 million for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit on the fourth floor over the summer. It was purchased through an LLC, hence the secrecy until now.
Three months before she closed on the apartment, the 24-year-old Seyfried told Vanity Fair that part of her motivation for taking roles in romantic comedies is to pay for an apartment in Manhattan. Check out what Letters to Juliet got her.
Seyfried actually paid slightly above the $1.875 million asking price for the condo, but that's nothing that Mamma Mia 2 can't fix. Here's the Mean Girl's new floorplan, just in time because we're out of Seyfried movie roles to reference. Just kidding, is the second bedroom for Jennifer's Body?
