Property records show that this 3BR/3.5BA apartment in Midtown's Park Imperial sold for just under $2.9 million back in 2003. In the time since, the office/condo hybrid tower has been home to the famous (Sean "Diddy" Combs, Daniel Craig, Deepak Chopra) and the infamous, and brokers have been known to get all hot and bothered about some of the apartments. In other words, the building's fortunes have improved since 2003, and now this 2,169-square-foot unit is back on the market through Elliman for $6.25 million. Shocked? Don't be. That's actually a discount!
In the summer of 2008, #66D made a brief appearance on the market for $6.9 million, but it didn't sell. The owner is listed as Harold Kahn, and while there are many rich dudes out there named Harold Kahn, we think it's this one, who serves as chairman of the board of Wet Seal. So is this apartment now worth $2,881 per foot? We're certainly not complaining about those views. If ever there were listing photos to justify a building on 56th Street daring to have "Park" in its name, this might be them.
