Where the Wild Things Are writer Maurice Sendak has only ever painted one mural?on the wall of an unidentified apartment on Central Park West. He painted the mural for the children of family friends, who have just donated it, along with a chunk of the apartment wall, to Philadelphia's Rosenbach Museum and Library. Given that even a Keith Haring mural couldn't sell a Tribeca apartment, maybe the loss of the Sendak one won't hurt the resale value. [NPR]
