Marc Jacobs co-founder Robert Duffy just closed on a $5.2 million townhouse on West 12th Street, another of the city's skinniest, mini-est residential facades. No. 35 between 5th and 6th Avenues is but 13.5 feet wide, a downgrade from the Federal style 22-footer at 62 Bank Street that he recently sold for $7.05 million. (Fun fact: that property inspired a heated bidding war and was the cause of its own fortune, as Duffy decided way back when that it would be "fun" to walk to work. Hence, the very Marc Jacobs West Village empire that drove up home prices.)
As for Duffy's new, more modestly-sized life half a mile east? Elliman agent Frank Arends says, "He likes it intimate."
