The Jehovah's Witnesses have long-term plans to leave their Brooklyn buildings behind for more space in Warwick, NY, and we've been keeping an eye on their on-the-market buildings because their sale might save Brooklyn Bridge Park from additional condos. Potential good news for the opponents of park condos: one of the Witnesses' properties, 50 Orange Street, has sold for $7.1 million. (That's slightly less than the $7.4M ask.) Contracts are out for two of the other Jehovah's Witnesses properties, 183 Columbia Heights and 161 Columbia Heights. [Crain's]
