The controversial Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District, which encompasses 21 DoBro buildings, has passed the City Council's landmarks subcommittee, making its approval by the full City Council pretty darn likely. Most of the buildings in the district are office buildings, but one of its most vocal opponents was a residential tower, 75 Livingston Street. Councilmen Brad Lander and Stephen Levin urged the Landmarks Preservation Commission to "show maximum appropriate flexibility" toward 75 Livingston's residents. We'd rather see the LPC take its revenge. [City Room]
