What kind of person would have a giant gold chain hanging over their bed? How about one with a "CNN" pendant? That sort of bold contemporary art isn't out of the place in this loft, the home, according to property records, of New Museum director Lisa Phillips. Phillips took on the role of director in 1999 and the next year bought this two-bedroom, 1,900-square-foot loft at 90 Franklin Street, where celebs like Mariah Carey and Ben Stiller also keep homes. Now, Phillips has listed her downtown digs for $2.5M. The interiors, while certainly minimalist, are made more attractive by two exposures in the living room and large picture windows throughout. The white paint might be a little bare, but by museum curator standards it's downright colorful.
