The famous townhouse that fictionally hosted wild parties by Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's sold for just under $6 million. The seller was disgraced finance exec Peter E. Bacanovic, who spent five months in prison for shady insider trading deals with Martha Stewart and her imClone stock. Bacanovic bought the famous townhouse at 169 East 71st Street for $1.8 million in 2000, and sold it for almost $6 million to Costalea Holdings Limited, according to the Observer. The building is currently divided into two duplex apartments with a total of five fireplaces. The ground floor has a solarium; the broker photo features a round paper lantern light fixture—a nod to Mr. Yunioshi?
