The Gothic Revival-style Church of the Redeemer at 24 4th Avenue in Brooklyn, which many will recognize from entering/exiting the subway stop directly in front of it, is slated for destruction due to severe disrepair. The 1866 church will be replaced with a mixed-use development in the shadow of the Williamsburg Savings Bank tower, and a new church. ['Stoner]
