We've been waiting on 5 Franklin Place for four years now, gradually losing hope as it evolved from the original black and bendy concept by Dutch architect Ben van Berkels to the far less exciting Richard DeMarco iteration. Hopefully some folks are still enthusiastic to see the final product, because it's coming to market in January. Plaza developer Elad Properties is in contract to purchase the building (for a rumored $46 million) and has apparently given it a "slight" redesign. We hope the tweaks are in the Van Berkels direction. [Real Deal; previously]
