Chipotle CEO Steve Ells is selling off a parcel of his West Village residential mini-empire, disgorging the townhouse at 92 Jane Street for $16.5 million, according to the Post. The townhouse is a landmarked Greek Revival Janus—completely traditional from the street, but featuring a very modern rear facade that is almost completely transparent and privacy-protected by 35-foot walls enclosing the rear yard. Ells bought the place back in 2008 for $13.4 million after it was transformed into a single-family minimalist Zen palace and went on the market in 2007. The 2007 price immediately post conversion: $16.5 million, or exactly what Ells just listed it for five years later.
