CHELSEA?If you want to live in Chelsea's affordable co-op, Penn South, you have to wait more than a decade. But if you just want to see inside, you only have to wait until the weekend. The co-op is opening its doors to the public as part of Open House New York, and a few residents will even be opening their homes for guided tours. It's a rare opportunity to see what a $75,000 one-bedroom apartment looks like. [CurbedWire Inbox; tickets]
THE HARBOR?After a year of renovations, the Statue of Liberty's crown will reopen to the public on October 28, exactly 126 years after the memorial was dedicated. Tickets are now on sale, and they give visitors access to the crown, the pedestal-observation level, and a portion of the top of the star-shaped fort. Some work remains to be done inside the statue's pedestal, but it will fully reopen early next year. [CurbedWire Inbox; official]
