Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various New York City neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $3,400/month.
? In the Fulton/Seaport area, a 1,000-square-foot 1BR is available for $3,400/month. The photos, which were taken mid-renovation with the lights off, are really not doing it any favors. That's not to say that the place is actually beautiful or anything—it features a lot of painted-over brick and not much else, which isn't ideal.
? In Cobble Hill, a 2BR with a terrace is going for $3,500/month. It also includes what appears to be a working fireplace. Fancy.
? In The Cherokee on the Upper East Side, a fully-furnished 2BR, 2BA is going for $3,500/month. It seems very bright and airy, and includes balconies.
? In Park Slope, a new-looking 1,000-square-foot 2BR, 2BA is going for $3,500/month. It includes large windows, a juliet balcony, and looks clean enough to eat off of.
? This 1,000-square-foot 2BR on the Lower East Side was "architect renovated" and is now asking $3,500/month. The kitchen looks cool and each room is painted a different color. There's also a lot of shelf space throughout.
? And finally, in Midtown, this 1,000-square-foot 3BR has...a lot of tile, and that's about it. It's going for $3,400/month.
