New marketing plan for the MLS Flushing Stadium: get the city's soccer-loving Hispanic population on board. At a town hall last night, the MLS served chicken and beef empanadas, played Spanish language pop music, and invited the star sportscaster of Spanish language network Univision to speak. MLS commissioner said "We live in a new America, an America that looks different, speaks different and feels different, [...] And this sport is the sport that can connect with that new America."
