One real estate junkie (and a tipster!) can't help but wonder?what will become of the Pierre Penthouse, the over-the-top abode of financial guru, TV commentator, and 1987 stock market crash predictor Martin Zweig, who died earlier this week at the age of 70? In 1999, he purchased the multistory 16-room apartment at the top of the Pierre Hotel, which includes a ballroom overlooking Central Park, for what was at the time a record-setting $21.5 million, according to the Times. Properties at the Pierre come to market every few months, but this one quite literally trumps them all. Zweig apparently asked $70M back in '04, but then took the PH off the market. How much could it be worth today? [Streeteasy]
