Trendy Brooklyn neighborhoods have seen a flood of new bars and nightlife spots in recent years, and Prospect Heights' Community Board 8 isn't going to take it anymore. CB8 has recently begun a policy of refusing to offer support for new liquor licenses unless the establishments in question agree to close at midnight on weeknights, which has led at least one applicant to think better of the whole thing. This comes on the heels of Bushwick's CB4 mandating that new bars close at midnight on Sundays, and, of course, there was that outcry against everybody urinating around the Barclays Center.
