Opponents of Citi Bike, specifically opponents of the locations of docking stations, had their point proved in the worst way possible this weekend. EMS could not easily access 175 West 13th Street to help an elderly resident inside because there was a 60-foot long bike share docking station in front of the building, blocking parking and direct gurney access for the ambulance. The co-op had already sued the city for the placement of the 39 bike racks, and this incident just added fuel to their fire. [NYP; previously]
